I chose to become an Advanced Practice Provider because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, particularly within my community. I have always been drawn to both the science of medicine and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients. Becoming an APP allows me to combine those interests while helping patients achieve better health and quality of life. My areas of special interest include cardiology and mental health. Before becoming an APP, I worked as a cardiothoracic surgical nurse, which sparked my continued interest in cardiovascular health and provided a strong foundation in caring for patients with cardiac conditions and those at high risk for cardiovascular complications. While working in primary care, I have also developed a strong passion for mental health. I have seen firsthand how prevalent mental health concerns are and how significantly they can impact overall health and quality of life. These experiences have shaped my desire to provide comprehensive care that addresses both physical and mental well-being. I believe patient care should be a partnership between the patient and provider. My goal is to work alongside each patient to develop an individualized approach that supports both their health and overall quality of life. I believe the best care is not simply about treating a condition, but about understanding each patient’s goals, values, and circumstances and helping them live their healthiest, most fulfilling life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son, my fiancé, and other family and friends. I also enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Staying connected with loved ones and remaining active helps me maintain balance and bring that same energy and perspective into my work.
